Florida women charged with stealing Christmas decorations from neighbor

Even the Grinch wasn’t this brazen.

Two Florida women were charged with stealing Christmas decorations from a neighbor — and putting them on their own lawn less than a block away.

“[They stole] Mickey Mouse on a horse, some hugging penguins, Snoopy on a dog house, and Santa on a sled,” a Sweetwater, Fla., police spokesman told WSVN-TV.

Guadalupe Valdes and an accomplice were charged with grand theft for the Thursday heist, which was captured by surveillance cameras.

The victim, Ingrid Alemendarez, said the elaborate Christmas display reminds her of her late husband, since they used to put it up together.

She said that after the decorations disappeared from her lawn, it wasn’t hard to track them down — they were sitting in the suspects’ front yard less than a block away.

Valdes was peppered with questions about the ornaments as she was released from custody after a court hearing.

“Oh my God!” she yelled, according to the Miami TV station. “Could you stop?”
